On 12.04.07 the factory of HATLAPA KOREA CO LTD was officially opened by tape cutting with the attendance of 150 guests from shipyards and shipowners.
During the ceremony the management of HATLAPA KOREA and HATLAPA Marine Equipment expressed the importance of this investment for serving the Korean shipbuilding market and boosting customer satisfaction. Mr Hubertus Hatlapa emphasized in his speech that HATLAPA KOREA combines the best of two continents: products, design and know-how from Germany with sales and management expertise as well as market access from Korea.
The completion of the factory was achieved within a very short time after signing the shareholder agreement and official establishment of the company. During the next 3 years HATLAPA Marine Equipment and their Korean partner Dong Sung will jointly invest 4 million USD into HATLAPA KOREA.

The factory is located in the Busan Science Park of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone (BJFEZ). On an area of nearly 8.000 m² an assembly shop and an office building have been constructed.
