For 10 years now HATLAPA Asia Pacific Pte.Ltd. in Singapore has been dealing with the South-East Asian and Far Eastern Market for the manufacturing programme of deck machinery, steering gear and compressors.
At the beginning, the company started as a representative office of HATLAPA Germany, managed since then till today by Mr. Uwe Weiland.
The first employees were Mrs. Eileen Chong and Mr. Charles Goh. Both of them represent today the foundation of the organisation which has significantly grown during these 10 years.
Shipowners are supported for technical solutions and services, which applies not only for the existing fleet but also for newbuildings. Offering and supplying of spare parts for HATLAPA´s products as well as arranging deliveries for newbuildings in the region are in focus.
In 1998 a representative office in Shanghai was founded which supports the newbuilding sales for China. All HATLAPA-products are presented and supported by the Shanghai-team for all Chinese shipyards.
Further support and attention is paid to HATLAPA´s Chinese production of deck machinery. HATLAPA started production of mechanical components already in 1989 with extended success to date. Since then more than 10.000 winches have been designed in Germany but delivered from China to Chinese newbuildings, mostly delivered to shipowners abroad. Nowadays, this experience in production is also serving the needs of all shipyards in South-East Asia.
