Shipname: M/T "Cape Bradley"
Columbia Shipmanagement, Limassol

Three weeks ago the tanker „Cape Bradley“ collided with a cargo vessel off the French coast. The whole foreship was damaged and also the winch equipment to a considerable extent.
After docking at Lloyd-Werft, Bremerhaven, the winch fragments (supplied in 2004 to Hyundai Mipo Shipyard by a Norwegian company) were forwarded to HATLAPA in Uetersen/Hamburg.
Within only two weeks HATLAPA produced new starboard winches of their own design.
The components were tested and approved on the HATLAPA test bench on Sunday, 05.02.06 by the classification society and the ship management.
Today “Cape Bradley” will be receiving two new roller chain stoppers, a windlass part for 70 mm stud link chain, a double drum mooring winch for a pull of 150 kN and a winch gear with high-pressure hydraulic drive.
Thus HATLAPA has fulfilled the time schedule of the ship management and shipyard completely. The HATLAPA team in the respective departments operated 24 hours, 7 days a week, depending on progress, proving their flexibility for the needs of the maritime field.
